Level 1 Personal Safety Awareness

This programme provides practical strategies to assist learners in dealing with personal safety issues of concern and worry to any individual in today’s society.  

• To raise awareness of personal safety issues
• To promote actions to help minimise risks to personal safety

• Help the learner to understand issues relating to the ‘fear of crime’
• Ensure that the learner recognises situations and actions that put personal safety at risk
• Encourage the learner to adopt routines and procedures to minimise risks to personal safety
• Develop the learner’s abilities to recognise and react appropriately in conflict situations
• Provide the learner with knowledge of how to report and record incidents
