Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS)

10 years ago the construction industry introduced CSCS as a form of self regulation principally aimed at reducing accidents on site. All workers are required to hold a CSCS card commensurate with their level of skills which needs to be renewed on a regular basis. ConstructionSkills, the Sector Skills Council for Construction, own the intellectual property rights to the touch screen Health & Safety Test which is a requirement for all CSCS cards. ConstructionSkills contract the Health & Safety testing to Prometric who have a number of static sites across the country as well as a fleet of mobile test centres.

Learning and Skills Solutions are licensed by Prometric to deliver Health & Safety testing and currently have CSCS testing sites across London.

Once the Health & Safety Test has been successfully passed we also provide all of the administration involved in issuing the CSCS card to the learner.

Learning and Skills Solutions will fund the CSCS Health and Safety test and card, at no cost to the candidate, as long as there is funding available and that they also to participate in an Adult Literacy and/or Numeracy programme (subject to eligibility).
